Stanley’s Ads

The reason I started this website about the Scottish Fold cat breed is because of Stanley.

So, it is Stanley and I together who are building The Scottish Fold site . . .

There is so much to tell about the Scottish Fold and Stanley that we some times have trouble agreeing on what to add next, but we both agree:  there is more to come.

We are adding and updating information, stories, photographs, and resources regularly, so keep checking back!

It has also been agreed that Stanley will take us on our journey learning about Scottish Folds . . .

First, let me introduce Stanley.

The Scottish Fold Stanley

He is quite the character, having known only humans until he was about seven months of age.  You can tell the story of Stanley is a unique one, but before I tell you more, let’s get to Scottish Folds!

The Scottish Fold cat breed started with the discovery of a barn cat in, you guessed it, Scotland.

In 1961, a barn cat with ears that folded downward and forward onto her forehead was discovered.  Her name was Susie.
